Loidis Care is looking for caring individuals to join our family-oriented company. Our goal is to help our clients live safe, independent lives within their own homes by providing excellent care services. We support individuals who require assistance with daily activities due to age, illness, disability, or other circumstances.
The role of our carers is to ensure the well-being and quality of life of individuals who need assistance, allowing them to remain in their homes for as long as possible.
We employ, train, and equip our staff to provide the most effective care and support to clients in their homes. The goal of Loidis Care is to improve the quality of life and well-being of individuals in need of care.
Responsibility and duties:
Type of Duties: As set out in the code, carers should recognize and respect the dignity and value of clients at all times, take into account their needs and wishes and maximise their independence and physical and emotional welfare. This will involve enabling clients to maintain their own personal tasks, where possible.
Carers will be required to undertake a range of personal and housekeeping duties for clients. Loidis care services will use its best efforts to ensure the tasks required of carers are within their capabilities.
There is a care plan on each clients premises, it will vary from client to client it is the carers responsibility to write this up and maintain all records with up to date information along with any changes in care needs.
Such duties may include:
Personal care: Assisting clients with mobility, washing, dressing, elimination (bowel and bladder) functions, and decision making to varying degrees.
House Keeping: As directed by the clients expect to do daily bed making, dusting, vacuuming and laundry as requested.
Meals: Clients tastes are usually simple, but like us all they do like their food to be nicely cooked either from the microwave or oven.
Client finances: When entrusted by the client with cash to pay for goods and services a record MUST be kept of receipts and payments in the financial transactions of the care plan. If the client has problems with sight hearing or dementia their representative should be asked to audit the records. In the absence of a representative the agency should be consulted.
Carers should not accept gifts, gratuity or financial loans from the client or enter into any form of a financial transaction.
Personal Presentation and Behaviour
Clothing: Carers are advised to be neat and tidy (uniforms available from loidis), with minimum jewellery, nails kept short and hair tied back. Remember to wear practical flat shoes and comfortable clothing.
Latex and vinyl gloves and aprons are available from and are in all clients homes.
Mobile Phones: Clients phones must not be used unless in the case of emergency, mobile phones would be switched off or put on silent whilst in a client’s home. Carers are not allowed to answer their phones whilst in the client’s house
Identity Badges: Badges must be worn and shown at all times on entering a clients premises, especially in the case where you are covering another shift and not familiar to the client.
Alcohol, Smoking: Carers must not go to a clients home whilst under the influence of Alcohol or drugs nor must they be used whilst on the client’s premises.
Visitors: Carers friends of either sex must not be invited into or taken to clients homes. If clients are on the telephone whilst you are there please use your discretion and allow them privacy.
What we want from you:
Drivers: All carers must have a Full driving license and access to a personal car
Experience: Carers to have some experience within the care sector, ensuring day to day personal care is rendered to service users in a person-centered way.

Compassion and empathy: Caregivers should provide emotional support and understanding to their clients, showing empathy and compassion during challenging times.
